My Sweet Valentine

My Sweet Valentine

Roses are red, violets are blue, I love this mousse, and you will too! Here is my great grandmother’s recipe for a pink strawberry mousse! This recipe is really easy to make with only six ingredients and nine steps. It takes about twenty five minutes to make with hands on work and two hours for the dessert to cool. It serves about eight people, so you can make it for you and your loved ones to share. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Materials you will need:

  • Saucepan or a pot
  • A measuring cup
  • A blender
  • A bowl

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 boxes of Red Jell-o Powder (0.3 oz)
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 can of heavy cream
  • Strawberries (as many as you want!)

Recipe:

  1. Pour 2 cups of water into your pot and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add the Jell-o powder and mix until the powder is completely dissolved.
  3. Turn off the stove and wait for your mixture to cool to room temperature.
  4. Once it cools, pour it into the blender. Make sure it isn’t hot!
  5. Add all the remaining ingredients, except for the strawberries, in the blender.
  6. Blend the ingredients.
  7. Once it reaches a uniform color and a liquidy/creamy texture, pour it in a bowl.
  8. Put it in the fridge until it solidifies. Expect to wait for about 2 hours. Do some homework or something.
  9. Finally, take some cut strawberries and place them on top of the mousse when it’s out of the fridge.

That’s it! I hope you enjoy this simple, delicious treat!
